All I want to say is I must have a strange animal. 128 bit GTX1050 with 640 CUDA Cores and 4 yes 4 GB of memory. I don't know a lot about computers but it performs quite well with an i5 that always runs at 3.9 plus even at 1%. I have run a background program to chart processor use. Forza 7 uses about 25% of the hyperthreading always in turbo mode i5 and 50% of the GTX1050 running 1080 at 60 fps. I tried 2160 but the framrate slows to 24fps and the GPU is maxed. I had 8GB of ram and the game stuttered. A second 8 GB stick for 16 GB total fixed it. It uses just over 50% of the 16 GB playing Forza 7. My question is how much do the extra CUDO cores in A GTX1050Ti improve performance over a 4GB GTX1050? I looked at some of the other comments and it looks like 4G isn't exactly terribly uncommon for the GTX1050 to have. Perhaps they dropped the memory down to make the 1050Ti the one to buy. Will the GTX 1050Ti run 2160 at 60 fps? Do the extra CUDO cores help enough?
Not true at all. I have tried both. AND plenty of benchmarks prove it. 2gb just dont cut it anymore.
probably the software sharing capacity remember 2 gig process build in ram and the vcard 2 gig ram. have the same problem on my gtx 660 2gb. it come out on 4gig on my dxdiag.
Whaaat?, The GTX 1050 runs many top games on high/ultra settings at 1080p in the 40-50 fps range, games like Gears of War 4, Doom, Forza Horizon 3, and the like. But only 4 GB versions. 2 GB versions do struggle with them and present hiccups or warnings when selecting higher settings. It is the perfect GPU on a laptop, not too power hungry, not too hot, inexpensive, and a very good performer in 1080p displays. Oh, and it is also a cheap MONSTER for NVenc h264/265 CUDA video encoding.
Y mine is 1050 4gb laptop and i want to know which is better XD
i just buy gtx 1050 and i dissappointed! buy gtx 1060 to run every game you want, but 1050 is better than my old 560
Good luck running top games on max settings with a 1050.. at that point just get a better graphics card. the 1050 is a budget card.
gb does matter. resident evil 7 need 2.5vram to run on max setting. Most top game will require vram more than 2gb to run on max so 2gb will become obsolete.
GBs do not matter, if you do very intense animation modelling then 4GB matters.
I'm also interested in knowing which one is bettter
gtx 1050 4gb vs 1050 ti 2gb (laptop)
The 1050 and 1050 Ti will crap out on GPU power before it can use over 2gb. It would be pointless anyway. Might as well buy the 1050 for $100.
laptops have 1050 4gb. for some reason other sites only compare the 2gb version
Either mis-labels or that's the new black.
this is an example i was interested in this too
I would Like to know about this as well.
Yeah, but there are laptops with 4gb 1050-s
GTX 1050 comes out only at 2GB
Between 4GB GTX 1050 and 4 GB GTX 1050Ti, which one would be better?
Some games are requesting 4 gb in memory and there is not much money more, so, i will go for Ti
should i go for 1050TI? or just enough with 1050
