Was this test necessary? All I know I can game on either at 1440p. Now I am running 3 monitors in surround with a 1080 of the MSI variant. My EVGA 1070FTW looked allot prettier in my case.
It seems that GPU Boss only takes into account those results that only give a result in tests so the 1070 only gives results in 5, giving it a fake higher score. If you take out the test the 1070 doesn't score in and divide the 1080 by 5, you get 9.32.
Not sure why the 1070 got the better score considering the 1080 had a 1 point lead on the 1070 for each section
