The GTX 470 was designed as a DX11 card. It was Nvidia's first DX11 capable GPU back it launched... The last cards that were designed for DX9 were the Nvidia 7000 series.
It makes no sense to have the passmark06 (DX9 performance measerer) when even DX 10 feels obsolete. But then I love GPU Boss and CPU Boss for VS. on CPU's and GPU's respectively.
the 470 was designed to handle directx9, which is not used as widely anymore (or not at all, as we have directx11, soon 12).
What happened in the 3DMark06 test? Everything else the 750TI beats the 470 but its all close, then suddenly for this one test the 470 is 5 times better. Can someone explain what why?
