Passmark Industry standard benchmark for overall graphics card performance

I thought it might also be interesting to run the new 3DMark on these GPUs and the results show a similar story to the gaming tests on the previous page.

3DMark 11 Graphics Industry standard benchmark that tests DirectX 11 GPU performance

Besides the above slide, NVIDIA provided some performance estimates using results from the 3DMark 11 Performance benchmark, and the results are even more heavily in favor of NVIDIA.

3DMark Vantage Graphics Industry standard benchmark that tests DirectX 10 GPU performance

BioShock Infinite 1920 x 1080 - Ultra preset + DX11 (DDOF)

GeForce GTX 765M
23.25 fps
GeForce GT 745M
12.57 fps
Being able to play top titles like Metro Last Light, Bioshock Infinite and Sleeping Dogs at these quality settings and at 1920x1080 resolution was impressive.

Dead Space 3 1920 x 1080 - Very High preset

GeForce GTX 765M
70.1 fps
GeForce GT 745M
36.7 fps
For Ultrabooks and thinner machines you’ll have to step down to smaller, less power hungry GPUs like the GT 750 and 740 but even then we expect NVIDIA to have much faster gaming performance than the Haswell-based processor graphics.
