Color compression on 960 massively helps the memory bus, it also uses half the power of the 580. 580 is a great card, but 240watts! Jesus!!
Both of you are totally wrong lol. You don't have a clue of what bus width is.
@Tron2014 I totally agree buddy! Such bs! 960 Only has 128 Bit interface vs 580's 384! Once 580 is MAX OC'd it pulls further away! VRAM is basically the same except the speed of the memory, but still, the 580 has almost 200 bandwidth vs the 95 of the 960! NOW WAY THE 960 EVEN BEING NEWER, ARCHITECTURE & DIE SHRINK, ETC STILL DONT MEAN IT IS BETTER! We all know WHAT makes a card FAST! Its not the amount of memory (That only applies in Higher Resolutions, Multi Monitor, etc) but rather how hast that memory speed can be processed which clearly the 580 (Which held the title as the FASTEST GPU for like 2+ YEARS!) ---- I say this because I still rock 2 EVGA GEFORCE GTX 580 SC "SLI" GPU's on my MSI Z77A-GD65 MoBo + i5-3570k GAMING RIG! IM CRUSHING EVERYTHING @ 1080p WHICH IS ALL I CARE FOR & WITH 2 OF THESE IM BEATING MOST 900 SERIES SINGLE CARDS EXCEPT THE 980/980 TI/TITAN, etc. People forget that Older dont mean a part is DONE! Rather, "OLD IS STILL GOLD"!
The same here, you knows exactly, why the is no benchmark with 3d mark 06 and 11. the winner in the real life in all games, is the 580 with good 10-23%. And not this new wreck! Real life power, BABY!
