no comparison guys between both , just check the frames fps ? 780 gtx sc evga for example is the highest version some games make 25 fps difference , how can we compare them 960 was a pricy shit when it came up now its only a shit ..

960 is really good card i over clocked mine to 1553 mz and still run at 77c -80 c max an full load 1 h gaming. really impressed . i pull more fps in gta 5 them my brothers 970. on stock freq.
Nvidia let down a lot of consumers especially the 780 owners who want to keep their card for a long time. I find it anti-consumer to not optimize their older generation GPUs. This is the reason why I won't buy an Nvidia card anymore.
now as 390 x going down in price and so does gtx 980 ti version. when gtx 1080 (p) 4k take over it would be like 2 sli gtx 980. for the ti i dont know. its just o.c and not the real version. we just want non normal no o.c versions. to mutch errors on o.c cards. got a r9 390 with RMA. used it 1 day then it died. if amd nvidia are gonna make bad gpu s then ill stick to s3 virge dx 367-375 forever (LOL) n* o** way writer so take it easy. *r **w Norwegian chees too and flying in it too.cheese and smile to 4k-8k cards and of corse hdmi 2.0 dp 2.0 support out of the box. the 780 was a good card and still are.. no need to push it out yet. since dx12 make it better ingaming. gtx 960-980 are 2 gen over gtx 780-90 version. .no warrning!!

I have both and let me say the 960 blows to 780 out of the water... gtx 780 is garbage and outdated.
gtx 960 g2 2g 4g g4 (gb) are a eterance only. not a mor faster gpu then gtx 780 with 4gb ram. some 960 got 2-4 gb ram. only if you want to test out dx12 demos. go for 980 ti or wait to get 1000 version from nvidia. still go for amd too. cheaper still run games in 1k-8k. when a gtx 980 cost 5 big nok +mva. go for it but get atleast a 4-6 gen cpu and 16-128 gb ram ssd m2 or hybrid 7200 ssd.
I had a HD5850 and you're right. I eventually purchased a brand new GTX960 4GB OC edition (Gigabyte) instead of buying a used GTX660Ti/GTX670/GTX680 since it was more efficient and since I only game at full HD, it met my requirements.

The 960 would walk all over the 660. The 760 is right between the 660 ti and the 670, where the 960 beats the the 760 by about 15 - 20%. Where the the stock core ont he 960 is 1127mhz (correct me if im wrong), just about every 960 I seen will hit 1500+ mhz on the core, driving its performance in games faster then the stock GTX 680. Cuda, wellt he 680 will beat it if your into cuda type stuff. Its only a disappointment if you have something already faster enough witch a 660 is still a decent card for todays games at 1080p, The 960 would look better to them who has something older or slower and not much of a budget but wants shadowplay cuda physx, a $200 price point is actually pretty good for something that can rival a GTX 680 overclocked that uses next to no power and shuts its own fan off even overclocked to 1600mhz lol
What are you on about? All the specs of the 780 are correct.
This is 780 vs 960... NOT 680 vs 960
The 960 is a disappointing card. We were all hoping for the GTX 680 at the price of $200 and what we got was a GTX 670 1.1 It's not even worth upgrading from a GTX 660 which has nearly identical specs (aside form architecture).
