Yep that's exactly true. Sellers will always fear negative feedback and will strive for customer satisfaction. You shouldn't ever have an issue from a long-time seller with solid feedback.
No risk if your smart and buy from a reputable seller who has over a couple hundred reviews. also people who have built a high reputation on ebay are highly motivated because of buyer protection......basically its a risk if youre an idiot and buy from joe schmo with 5 reviews. there are highly professional businesses on ebay where used gpus actuall have to pass certain stress tests before they can be considered for resale. so just be smart and youll always come out on top as a buyer on ebay.
but that's a used one off of ebay, so you are taking a chance that you are just getting an empty box. I'm talking brand new from somewhere like Newegg or Amazon, where they are more than twice that. and yes, what it "ACTUALLY" has does mean performance issues for games that use more than 3.5 gigs of VRAM, especially for me because i was playing on a 1440p display and most games wouldn't run over medium settings without needing more VRAM.
140 is actually almost exactly the average price for a 970 on ebay. What it "ACTUALLY" has means nothing next to performance. Over a month back I got a 970 for 180 dollars.
While the 970 may be better, It's also larger and uses more power. Not to mention a 970 is still $330 while you can get a 1050ti for $140 on Newegg right now. Also does anyone know about the VRAM? I know the 970 was advertised as 4 but it really had like 3.5 because the last 500 MB were much slower, so does the 1050 ti ACTUALLY have 4 gb of VRAM?
The gtx 970 is more powerful than the 1050, BUT, the 1050 uses half the electricity as the 970. Much of the progress for many years have not been making GPU's and CPU's faster but making them more power efficient.
I paid £150 for a 2nd hand GTX970 . Much better than a 1050 ti
well yup you needed to wait, yesterday i got my Gygabite 1050 Ti 4 GB GDDR5 Oc Edition, and it's amazing, and here in Macedonia costed me like hmm 180 euros or around 200 dollars.. that's joke price for such powerful GPU.. but anyway 970 it's more powerful, keep it up, as the VR is behind the door.. cheers ;)
How does she perform? I myself have a 970. But I am kicking myself for paying too much for performance I did not need. I should have waited and just bought a cheaper GTX 1050 Ti or RX 470.
Please add this GPU: zotac 1050 TI OC 4GB
