Actually you with Alienware and Clevo the cards are replaceable.
have an 860m...play with some pretty high settings and it runs fine...i'll gladly give up some fps for quality...people obsess about fps too much.
far cry 4 runs flawlessly on higher settings with my 4gb 860m.

I have a 4gb 860m maxwell and it does play farcry on 1080p high setting with no supersampling....but the 970m i use on the g751 kicks some major ass in comparision but with no supersampling the lowest you go is medium-high 1080p on the 860
they're both laptop gpu's because he's obviously comparing laptops. and on second place, well... you are a dumbass
Well.. just to start the 860M is a chipset integrated in Laptops, is not a discrete video card that can be pluged on a desktop. And on second place, well.. on Far Cry 4 you will not be able to get a "playable" game on the 860M at 1920x1080 if you chose other than the low quality settings. And finally, a graphics card with more memory allows you to: Play at higher resolutions, at higher texture quality settings, with higher render-based antialiasing settings But does not improve speed
Obviously the 970 is more powerful but for the average gamer what sort of impact does it have over the 860? The most stressful game I own at this time is Far Cry 4 and the six gig ram is sadly wasted on Skyrim even with loads of mods due to the 3gig limit.
