Correct. [DCI] 2k is a cinema term for 2048×1080. 1440p is incorrectly called 2k, in reality it is just beyond 2.5k (hence, 2560). So yeah, 1080p is much closer to 2k than 1440p. As far as pixels, 1080p is 2 megapixels (2073600). And 1440p is just shy of double that at 3.7mp (3686400).
latest is always better for best optimization of latest games or even upcoming titles , also 2gb + vram which is indeed nowadays for tackling settings , so my vote goes to 1070
2560x1440p is QuadHD or 2k, FullHD 1080p only^^
What? 2K is FULL HD and that (2560x1440p) resolutuion is 3K!
With extreme OC over 2100 MHz watercooling, the 1070 is a bit faster cauz the 980 Ti can't reach such high Clock Rate..1070 in a SLI config is a big improvment
thats not true, 980 ti is better for mining as stated above in the test
The GTX 1070 is the better choice agianst GTX 980 Ti 6gb! Much lower watt consumption and faster bitcoin mining (OC) also in the most newest game more fps also more FPS on 2k (2560x1440p) resolutuion!

If you're looking to buy one of these cards today (1070 or 980ti) go with the cheaper option. 980ti is a little older, and uses more power but its much better for pushing FPS in gaming. The 1070 is newer, has more Vram but its not as fast.
