duck life GeForce GTX 980M is an amazing 3d game, I’ve played it and enjoyed it.
quote myself "until just recently"
Alvin might wanna keep up, The 980 series is now available for laptops, however the laptop has to support the MXM revision B. They dropped the M, FYI.
Age of Empires ftw...
Yes, actually. Open your laptop and remove the PCIe and power connection from your 980M. Now, remove the heatsink, fan and cage from your 980 and place the card carefully into your laptop and use electrical tape to keep it from touching the sides. Reconnect the PCIe and power cable, but to your 980 this time. Do this correctly and congratulations, you've just earned a place in Geek Squad.
M means Mobile, non M was until just recently for desktops only.
Noob here.. Any idea if the 980m is user replaceable with the 980? I have MSI GT72s thanks
Gaming has nothing to do with age , i consider watching a movie and gaming to be the same. just the in gaming you're making use of your brain more.
that leaves the question, is the vram difference going to be an issue. as in if you were given the choice between the two GPUs, true the 980 is better but with more detailed textures and AA will the vram not be sufficient, which would you choose and why?
Well, I ended up buying an MSi GT80 Titan about a month ago, so pardon my earlier jargon. Keep being the awesome dad that you are :-)
what are you talking about?! I'm 37, I'm a hardcore gamer and my kids call me "awesome dad" :)
muhahahaha, nice. He is 31, and mean he is to old for gaming soon. I am 40, and i have a lot of people which are 50+ and are Gamer of Battlefield 4, World of Tanks, ... People are different!
tbh so did I, but i was also 2 years old playing duke nukem 3d
well I want an MSI GT80 SLI badly (the one with the dual 980M SLI) but I don't have as much time to game like I used to.
We gamers don't get old.We are just keep getting better and better and wiser. I started playing games on windows 98 and pentium 4 1.4ghz
That's awesome. I guess in 3 to 4 years my next laptop may be a gaming laptop like the MSI GT80, but I think I'm getting to old for gaming. I'm 31
That tells me that the MSI GT80 SLI must be a monster spec wise.
Well, you have to consider that a 980M has 75% the specs of the 980, except when it comes to memory.
No, the gap between mobile and desktop gets smaller and smaller.
