Reviews Word on the street

Radeon HD 7970  vs GeForce GTX 770

The GTX 770 WindForce OC is no different, but the improvement over the reference design cooler is, nevertheless, not that big because NVIDIA's cooler is already quite good.

Lol wow, just noticed that. Yeah, the 7970 TDP Ghz Ed is 250w, GTX 770 is 230w. Blatant misinfo.
But it doesn't , and give less performance sooo.
now nvidia has 900 ti series ati has r9 300 x series. update from low framerate too 4k 5k gaming people. and dont forget dx12 gaming benchmarking in 3dmark 2013.
did you forget the ATI 1xxx and 2xxx and 3xxx? And how the hell does the amount of GPU's made have to do with price vs performance? You are a perfect example of this new dumbed down world!
Now that sucks.I have an HD7970 GHz Edition, but still the info that this site has is rubbish.First of all the 7970 has 1500 MHz memory clock,it has a TDP of 250W in load,it`s a lot quieter(at least with Vapor-X cooling as I have),mine is clocked at 1050 MHz due to GHz Edition thing, and the effective memory clock speed is 6000 MHz,not 5500 MHz.Please make correct comparisons, without favoring Intel + Nvidia.AMD makes good stuff too.
you have to be kidding? how would it bottleneck THEY ARE BRAND NEW
Darn right! Comparing even similar chips like Haswell and Ivy Bridge by hertz is a waste of time. They all do different amounts of work per cycle and therefore make it apples to oranges.
It's not really the Titan Killer, lol.
Because BF4 will be optimised for the AMD cards, therefore it'll be the 7970 that has 70% higher framerate
The 770 gets a 70% higher framerate in BF3... how can you even compare the two!
stop quoting Linus and Elric :D
you should make new 3dmark records with Nvidia forget the games and make the records i never care much about 3dmark it's bullshit...
who else thinks Nvidia is holding out on us their ceo`s were on a month vacation Nvidia does not want amd to go away, they want competition ,the Titan is like 2 YEARS OLD they could have maked a better titan by now.. and BTW all the cores are not unlocked on the TITAN they could easily make a Titan that would have cost around 500$, ,....their GK110 gpu can smoke anything that AMD releases
of course no
Sorry Nvidia, but the 7970 takes it. Especially when it costs 150$ less!
Amd does have the R9 290X Titan Killer coming out soon though.
i have a i5 4670 with gtx 770 sc acx x2 will this rig bottleneck????!!??!?!??!?!?
Resolution might be a factor as well.
but nvidia has been ahead in sheer gaming performance :P so yes amd wins if you make grapohics and 3d animation or multi-screen setups, but a single screen with a single card nvidia is the strongest
that might be because of your cpu and rams also taking a part.
Where did you get that battlefield benchmark for the 7970? mine gets easily over 100fps
Dude Nvidia has GeForce 8xxx, 9xxx, 2xx, 4xx, 5xx, 6xx, 7xx and Titan series, AMD/Ati has Radeon 4xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx, 7xxx, that's 7 to 4...
770 FTW
It's actually being called "Hawaii". And I'm saving my money for one without a doubt. Amd has always been ahead in sheer calculation performance.
