Overclocking works very well and reaches the highest clocks of all GTX 780 cards we tested so far.

GPU BOSS is complete BULLSHIT!!!! Compare the 7970 to a gtx 760 or 770 and the COMPUTE PERFORMANCE is relevant. Comparing it the the GTX 780 or 780ti with 2000+ Kepler cores dances circles around this stupid card made back in 2012. The Radeon R9 295X2 is AMD's best card on the market until you run it against the TITAN Z.
"not to mention Nvidia's cards are not as well optimized with PC games" lol
Uh not really. I can say that I had them in crossfire and a single 780 lightening over clocked to 1.2ghz is getting me maybe 20 ir less frames s sec. But it so much smoother, and no problems with drivers. Much better idle temp to, 30 v 50. It's ridiculous.
A 770 outperforms a 670 - are you an idiot? Stop trying to be patronising when your wrong.
"But why why why do they make Radeon cards so damn ugly...?" The Radeon cards are just poorly chosen by the designer(s) and the one who hired them. Except thumbs up to Radeon because mine looks like giant fish eyes :/ (GV-N670WF2-2GD) "what does "780 is nothing more than a refreshed 670" mean? it's so much better than that. it uses a different chip for a start." In a nutshell, performance, This isn't to do with hardware model numbers or code-names. Think a little more harder.

I know! It's red because it goes more fastarrr!
But why why why do they make Radeon cards so damn ugly...?
This (micro stuttering) was fixed in Catalyst 13.8 Beta 1/2 , go for it and you'll love it
"yes but you still get micro stuttering, much higher power consumption and less performance in games without xfire support. But two 7970 are still pretty cheap in comparison with the titan" Don't forget you still get micro-stuttering with an Nvidia card as well. Two HD 7970's is enough to blast a 780 into oblivion not to mention Nvidia's cards are not as well optimized with PC games and absolutely suck at OpenCL/GL computaion. Try getting 650+Megahashes (to do with bitcoin) with an OC'ed GTX 670 at 1200Mhz (you'l get no more than 120Mhs). You buy two 7970's for the sameprice as the 780 (if not even cheaper) and to that, the power-consumption is tiny, Cost me $39 more per year running 14 hours a day than two GTX 680's for 35% more GPU power in Australia, electricity prices are way higher especially with the carbon tax fucking up our lives more. "not it if you liquid cool the system.. and if your even to cheap for that a corsair self contained mod for the cards works to I have one keeps the cards under 50 c on max load with 0 noise ;)" There is no game out there that can utilize your entire Gcard's with full use of both memory, memory controller and GPU. That just doesn't happen unless you suffer from bottlenecking. Come up with a more accurate measuring system. They are both great cards but when I start getting serious, the 780 is nothing more than a refreshed 670. Also has anyone else had the sudden black screen for two seconds then screen returns back to it's normal self? apparently it's to do with DVI connections on Nvidia GTX 670 cards.
No. One fast GPU is better than two slower ones. You don't get double the performance with 2 GPUs.
yes but you still get micro stuttering, much higher power consumption and less performace in games without xfire support. But two 7970 are still pretty cheap in comparison with the titan.
not it if you liquid cool the system.. and if your even to cheap for that a corsair self contained mod for the cards works to I have one keeps the cards under 50 c on max load with 0 noise ;)
Matnojje is right. :)
good choice...but choose the GE of AMD 7970 u're GC is like ARES the most powerful GC in the world
But with two 7970 you get a very hot pc, Microstuttering, high noice, much higher power consumption and less performace in games without xfire support.
yes, you get better results from a Xfire 7970 gHz edition and still less money than a single Titan!.. so 780 has nothign to do.
ill rather have two hd 7970 BE on crossfire than a single gtx780 at that price dont you think ?
