The GTX 770 WindForce OC is no different, but the improvement over the reference design cooler is, nevertheless, not that big because NVIDIA's cooler is already quite good.

for me the r9 290 is better than gtx 770.it gives a solid 60-90 fps in ultimate or ultra and it never drops to 60 below,,,,sorry for my bad english...ehehehhee
Sorry bro, no way a 770 beats a r9 290.
AMD ALL THE WAY! NVidia can't handle the Competition so they pay sites to "UP" the stats ;D
The R9 290 is a tad slower than a 780. The 770 is comparable to the 280X, not the 290. You're an Nvidia fanboy, and reading that bullshit made me disappointed in the human race. Go look at some benchmarks, moron.
The R9 290 even beats the GTX 780 (check on anadtech)... and it's at least 10% cheaper than the 770
one word: lol
AMD does the smart thing, to launch at least 6 months later to plan the course of action, and of course it will outperform, it launched much later. What were you expecting huh? Really?
the Nvidia GTX 770 launched on may 2013 and the Radeon R9 290 launched on November 2013. AMD had a 6 months period after the GTX 770 to plan and launch their graphics card and still couldn't beat the GTX 770. Stop complaining like little bitches when you don't know... (it's biased, please, look for another excuse cause that one stinks)

but most amd cpu's are rated better because of overclocking and i have seen many amd cards that are better
Nvidia user here and I own a GTX 770, the R9 290 definitely stomps the GTX 770 in performance. My cousin's R9 290 build definitely outperforms mine.
Holy fucking SHIT. THIS IS SO BIASED!! MOTHERFUCKER!! IT NEVER WENT THAT FAR!! YOU MOTHERFUCKER!! IT NEVER WENT THAT FAR WHEN I HAD IT IN THERE! YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!
And the article itself says that they cards they used were the same price so you can't use that in the comparison as they based the rating off the fact that they were the same price so even more bias.
The 770 is just a rebranded garbage 680 that had bad performance when it was released and couldn't compete with the 7970.
Garbage ass website.
You Can't Be Serious !PRO! Creepy Review . :(
What a pile of crap review, the 290 crushes the 770 into the floor, the only way this review has any credibility to it is if this is going by price per performance in which case the 770 would win due to the price/performance ratio.
The reason why its cheaper is because its not the 770's full equivalent. The 770 is more in line with the 280, AND in Australia these cards are the same price! So AMD for me this time, even though my current 7850 is cactus currently :(
I meant the 290 not the 290x.
This isn't merely a case of gpuboss being Nvidia fanboys. This site almost certainly has financial ties to Nvidia. Maybe they get ad revenue from them? By the way the 290x can be found for around 400.00 dollars, which is not much more than the 770, and totally blows it away in benchmarks, its not even remotely close.
The 770 won because it has a better reference design cooler..."The GTX 770 WindForce OC is no different, but the improvement over the reference design cooler is". Even though, the 290 smashed the 770 on almost everything. Bias is bias.
THIS BIAS IS ENRAGING!
To all whom say this is nivida bias, THE DAMN CARD IS NEARLY 100 dollars cheaper!
how can i believe this crap ?
crippy crippy criiiipyy this shit is goddamn impossible
