Keep your bullshit for yourself stupid nvidia fanboy. I am using ATI/AMD for about 10 years (4 different graphics cards until now) and I had only 1 problem update wich didn´t even caused crash, only fps drops in Battlefield 4 (yes BF4 only in other games I didn´t notice any drops) and next update solved it in about 3-5 days.
Funny you say that, I've heard most amd fanboys disguise as nvidia users to show how bad their products are. You even have any brain cells left? "Retardism"? Yep, I'm dealing with a butthurt 12 year old who can't accept facts and opinions.
I am a nvidia fanboy, and you make me lose brain cells at your unnaturally high levels of trollish stupidity. There are better ways to explain to AMD fans that Nvidia is better without resorting to retardism.
According to offical reviews and benchmark from techpowerup, the R9 380 performs a good deal better than the GTX960 overall. See link: (at super high res, the 380 at 83% and 960 at 69% which means the 380 is roughly 20% better than the 960. At regular high res, the difference is about 15%) https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/R9_380X_Strix/23.html
So the 960 is better than the 290x?
Oh and bye, go have your fun trolling others. I'm done with you.
I think I hit a nerve..... Again... I think I gotta turn e-mail notifications completely off and give up having successful conversations with literate people for blocking kids like you from filling my inbox.
oh jesus fucking christ you really are a retarded fucking troll I OWN AN NVIDIA GPU i have made that clear many many times
Wow dude. I'm just done. The fact that you literally replied after this conversation was over (Judging by the points I listed) clearly shows who's the one that got hit in the nerve. "I'm not biased" lol... Go home kid. Ask your parents to buy you an nvidia gpu for this christmas and maybe you'll get my point. Shame idiots like you don't get banned for being a dick on forums like these. Disqus is really bad for arguments with 12 year olds involved like you.
wow 3 replies in succession. did i hit a nerve? i am not biased i see things how they are irl and use real world gaming performance as my benchmarks when choosing the right gpu for the money. it was too late when the 970's 3.5gb debacle arose coupled with drivers that have corrupted systems yeah, currently the maxwell cards are dead to me but i will continue to rock my 970 until both companies newest offerings are available and game comparisons tests are out, and on that data i will choose my upgrade. anyway i am done with your idiocity and now choose to ignore your ignorance. shame disqus has no block function i am sick of the email notifications
Oh and, this comment is liked by you and that other dumbass - http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-290X-vs-GeForce-GTX-960#comment-2661578673. Which clearly shows how biased you both are by just agreeing that the maxwell line up is dead EVEN though you own a maxwell gpu. AMDumbasses lie... But not as much as you.
"How the hell can you say I am a butthurt amd fanboi"? By stating the fact that you literally liked EVERY comment which was posted against nvidia and not liked any valid points about nvidia anyone has put out. Use common sense dude, you know you're better than this. (Or so I thought amd fanboys were)
Holy shit you're such a butthurt fanboy. I literally have nothing to say man, you stupidity makes talking to you useless as you won't look at other people's views. I love how you immediately say the "gtx 960" is certainly not without even owning the card. You should probably educate yourself and "grow up" by looking at gtx 960 benchmarks.
no you are not triggering anything, just putting yourself across as a complete tool. i have owned a 270x and my current gtx970, i have done builds for friends with gtx980 and r9 380 (with its 4gb it also beats the gtx 960 at the same price point) among others, from broadwell to skylake and athlon to fx, dedicated video rendering machines, extreme overclocked machines etc etc the only thing i do not do it custom watercooling so believe me when i say i am totally neutral on manufacturers and i do not give a shit which company you have a hard-on for but the fact is the gtx960 will not beat a 290x (or even a 380 for that matter) in anything other than the nvidia biased benchmarks used here. as for facts to back up what everyone here except you finds so simple to understand... google r9 290x vs gtx 960 REAL WORLD GAME BENCHMARKS from a neutral source. have a go at the 960 vs 380 while you are there and price to performance in real world tests show the 380 is a better buy especially as its loaded with 4gb ram it handles textures and higher resolutions better
holy shit you are stupid. how the hell can you say i am butthurt amd fanboi? really, where from my comments can you honestly deduce that? anyone else reading this have the same view? i have never owned a 290x but i repect it as a beast card, the gtx 960 (in comparison) is certainly not. thats it. so if you still refuse to grow up and stop throwing juvinile and very misdirected insults then that is your problem i wish to have nothing more to do with you and your idiocity
Oh and owning an nvidia gpu doesn't make you any better than an amd fanboy. From the comments you left, anyone can make out you're a butthurt amd fanboy on damage control. Next time, try to be balanced and look at both sides.
Lol, "get an adult do it for you" Care to look at your own comment before assuming that I'm a kid? You sound immature as a 12 year old. Also, if you can't get around my "dumbass" logic, then you seriously have some problems, go see a doctor. If you can't understand my posts, then get an adult to read it for you xD
"just trying to say it is not" - without facts to back it up? The 960 performs pretty good for it's price btw (And can also be overclocked pretty high, some people got a +250 core clock and +500 mem clock stable), I mean you wouldn't know about that as you've owned all of amd's shit gpus your whole life. Lol, I love triggering butthurt amd fanboys more.
says the guy posting no end about how great the gtx960 is wowowowowowowowowowow. we are just trying to say it is not, and synthetic benchmarks mean jack shit irl
erm... all your fanboi ranting was for nothing. sorry. beats = better than. or if something wins it is worse than than its competitor? i just cannot get my head around your dumbass logic. oh, and read my post again, or get an adult to do it for you; i own a gtx970 not a 290x.
The gtx 960 kicks the 380's ass when overclocked. It's pretty much on the same league. Also, the gtx 960 performs way better in some games at stock speeds, so where does that 19-20% "better" come from?
Reasons to consider Nvidia: Better perf/$ - Check (There's proof on my other comment below), Futureproof architecture (Doesn't die after a year of use) - check, More features like MFAA, gameworks optimization, geforce experience, shadowplay, better and quicker driver updates for games - Check. What was your point again?
Oh 3dmark? Yeah, totally gonna use a benchmark instead of a game which uses driver support to optimize it. Speaking of backing up arguments, WHERE'S THE PROOF? "Better perf/$" - The gtx 970 costs less than the 390, so I don't get where your argument came from, "futureproof design" - Oh you mean that shit design which heats up like an oven when gaming and the gpu dies out after one year? LOL. "Doesn't get gimped" - Get real kid, that isn't an argument, gpus don't get gimped at all. It's your fanboyism which can't provide proof for your arguments-check. (Proved you wrong much and backed up my arguments much? Yeah, your stupidity is through the fucking roof. You claim stuff about things without proof which on its own gives me an idea of how much common sense you use)
I mistyped. I meant to write the competitor to the GTX960 is the R9 270x, not the R9 380 - as the 380 is 19-20% better than the GTX960.
Video was uploaded in april 2010 so your driver support arguement is invalid, want more examples? 3DMark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yx69O-HY9DI Reasons to consider AMD: Better perf/$ - Check, Doesnt get gimped - Check, Futureproof design - Check do i need to keep doing this? Isnt it kinda funny when those rebrands win pretty much all their counterparts exept 950? The one that cant back up his arguements is you, you always say you proved me wrong but the proof is always non-existant...
