>2017 >gtx 960 >ryzen 5 1600x >16 gb ram >still rocking anything to high settings, im surprised >p.s. thx to all those assholes miners i cant get a 1060 6gb at a fair price so im planning get another 960 to sli them
i have to say after owning this card it overclocks well i got it up to 1494mgz stable and it plays anything i want at 4k
Yeah, I had 2x 760's, they were a bit faster then the GTX 960's in firestrike benchmark, but mine were overclocked. I'd say stock for stock they are pretty much the same, but a game that requires high memory bandwidth will perform slightly better on the 760.
No problem at all. I was really frustrated and this was the first game I played with my gtx 960, so I thought it was busted. Little did I know that it was the game itself that was poorly optimised.
Holy shit man thank you very much!
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/92/ - makes a HUGE difference.
Woah woah woah, could you post the link? I've had the 960 for about 3 months now and never heard about the shadow mapping patch.
Really well! All the settings can be on high. You'll get 55-60fps all the time. BUT you do need to download a third-party patch because the shadow mapping fucks with the cards, really slowing it down in towns.
thank mine comes in tomorrow from new egg the 4gb addition any idea how it will run fallout 4?
Have had the 4GB GTX 960 for 6 months now. Every single game I've thrown at it gets 60fps at 1080p at max to high. Highly recommended.
For some reason the fact that a 760 can get almost double the FPS of a 960 smells like pure bs...
I get that in the end the 960 is still the better GPU, why did they downgrade the memory bandwidth throughout the generations so significantly? I mean it's clear that it's not unimportant when some games (e.g. Crisis 3) have there system requirements based off the amount of memory bandwidth..
You stupid? The 760 has a Wider Memory Bus and has more Texture Mapping Units.
960 gets worse FPS in Crysis 3 than a 760..? What?
The 960 is a budget gamingcard you can buy this or the r9 280x
Is this the best budget gpu or what should I get?
a little more being like $120 where i live
this is coming from a 7970 owner
300watt tdp. Cool story bro.
I would just pay a little more and get a dirt cheap 290
