Explore 29 desktops with the GeForce GTX 960
Gigabyte has crammed three DisplayPorts, two DVI ports, and an HDMI port onto their board, which is more than anyone else.

Reviews Word on the street for the GeForce GTX 960

Using an automatic TMDS switch chip on the board, you may run 2x DVI, 1x DP and 1x HDMI or 3x DP, 1x DVI and 1x HDMI at the same time.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Since the GTX 960 is targeted at Full HD gaming, 2 GB shouldn't let you down with any of today's games.
by techPowerUp!
All by itself, the GTX 960 SLI is a cracker of a combination, and we see performance upscale in excess of 80 percent in games that take advantage of SLI, at 1080p and 1440p resolutions.

While the game doesn't introduce any revolutionary new concepts, it's welcome new food for lovers of the genre.

Out of the box it runs a large overclock of 1215 MHz base clock, boosting up to 1456 MHz.
by techPowerUp!
Gigabyte has configured their BIOS to have a really high Boost range, which means, out of the box, the card will be running 1500 MHz actual clock on average, our manual overclock, that's 1550 MHz.
by techPowerUp!
With such high clocks, the GTX 960 G1 Gaming achieves an 8% performance increase over reference, which is bigger than any other GTX 960 we tested so far.
by techPowerUp!

Since most NVIDIA add-in card (AIC) partners don't have reference-design cards, we simply picked two of the best cards we have with us, lowered their clocks to match NVIDIA reference specs, and put them through our test-bench.
by techPowerUp!
I like Gigabyte's move to increase Boost clocks so much, as it provides extra performance that most other GTX 960 cards won't reach.
by techPowerUp!
Ever wonder why a movie watched in a theater feels more fluid at even 24 frames per second while a PC game being played at that frame-rate doesn't?
by techPowerUp!

I think in the future I will refer to maximum Boost clocks for the overclocking comparison to make things easier to compare.
by techPowerUp!
EVGA's GTX 960 SSC comes overclocked out of the box with an overclock that provides a 5% performance improvement.
by techPowerUp!
Memory is overclocked, too, which helps as well.

>2017 >gtx 960 >ryzen 5 1600x >16 gb ram >still rocking anything to high settings, im surprised >p.s. thx to all those assholes miners i cant get a 1060 6gb at a fair price so im planning get another 960 to sli them
i have to say after owning this card it overclocks well i got it up to 1494mgz stable and it plays anything i want at 4k
Yeah, I had 2x 760's, they were a bit faster then the GTX 960's in firestrike benchmark, but mine were overclocked. I'd say stock for stock they are pretty much the same, but a game that requires high memory bandwidth will perform slightly better on the 760.
No problem at all. I was really frustrated and this was the first game I played with my gtx 960, so I thought it was busted. Little did I know that it was the game itself that was poorly optimised.
Holy shit man thank you very much! - makes a HUGE difference.
Woah woah woah, could you post the link? I've had the 960 for about 3 months now and never heard about the shadow mapping patch.
Really well! All the settings can be on high. You'll get 55-60fps all the time. BUT you do need to download a third-party patch because the shadow mapping fucks with the cards, really slowing it down in towns.
thank mine comes in tomorrow from new egg the 4gb addition any idea how it will run fallout 4?
Have had the 4GB GTX 960 for 6 months now. Every single game I've thrown at it gets 60fps at 1080p at max to high. Highly recommended.
For some reason the fact that a 760 can get almost double the FPS of a 960 smells like pure bs...
I get that in the end the 960 is still the better GPU, why did they downgrade the memory bandwidth throughout the generations so significantly? I mean it's clear that it's not unimportant when some games (e.g. Crisis 3) have there system requirements based off the amount of memory bandwidth..
You stupid? The 760 has a Wider Memory Bus and has more Texture Mapping Units.
960 gets worse FPS in Crysis 3 than a 760..? What?
The 960 is a budget gamingcard you can buy this or the r9 280x
Is this the best budget gpu or what should I get?
a little more being like $120 where i live
this is coming from a 7970 owner
300watt tdp. Cool story bro.
I would just pay a little more and get a dirt cheap 290
