I wonder what this means for the Tesla line, and whether we will see a variant of Maxwell with a large boost in 64-bit performance, or if that line will be in an awkward place until Pascal.
The memory, but not the cache, is capable of ECC (error-correction) for enterprises who do not want a stray photon to mess up their computation.
As you can probably see, the first GPU will probably get beaten by good iGPUs and destroyed by IrisPro and high end APUs (Kaveri).
So basically what we have here is Nvidia rolling out some low end (and when I say low end, I mean really low end) and almost certainly OEM only products to the Geforce 700 series.
Without going through a horrible amount of headaches, building a custom gaming notebook is a pretty tough task.
If you can afford it, the ORIGIN PC EON17-SLX gaming notebook will, without a doubt, leave a positive impression on you in nearly every category.
So let’s talk about the GPUs themselves, NVIDIA’s first tier chips would be MXM design which means they would be interchangeable, upgradable and even offer SLI support on some notebook designs.
Next up, we have the entry level models which will feature the onboard design which mean that these GPUs will be permanently soldered to the mainboard hence no upgrading can be possible.
