The new reference design PCB also allowed NVIDIA to, aside from giving the GK104 a strong enough VRM to maintain those high clock speeds, deploy its brand new GPU Boost 2.0 technology, which makes higher GPU core clock speeds available to demanding applications by taking into account not only power draw but also GPU temperatures.
by techPowerUp!
The GTX 770 WindForce OC is no different, but the improvement over the reference design cooler is, nevertheless, not that big because NVIDIA's cooler is already quite good.

Reviews Word on the street for the GeForce GTX 770

9.6
The GK104 features a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface, which raised the bar for memory clock speed with the GTX 680 as the first card to feature memory clocked at 6 GHz.

What People Are Saying Give it to me straight

Performance

With GK104 beating AMD's "Tahiti" in single-GPU performance and efficiency, the GK110 never had to feature in the GeForce GTX 600 series.
by techPowerUp!
This approach usually promises better cooling performance and reduced noise levels, but other custom board designs we reviewed today offer the same performance with a two-slot cooler.
by techPowerUp!
While it is certainly not "quiet", it is the quietest high-end reference design we have seen so far.
by techPowerUp!

Multi card

Two SLI connectors are available, which would allow you to combine up to four GTX 770 cards in a Quad-SLI, multi-GPU configuration.

Cooling

Noise levels match those of the NVIDIA (Titan-style) reference cooler, which is a good thing as it shows that ZOTAC's cooler can handle the heat.
by techPowerUp!
Visually, NVIDIA has chosen a cooler that's similar to that of the GTX Titan, which is definitely a pretty sight.
by techPowerUp!
It seems quite difficult to improve on NVIDIA's reference cooler any further, so differences from any custom cooler won't be as big as what we were used to seeing.
by techPowerUp!

Applications

The game is a typical linear first-person shooter, but offers a talent tree, fast paced action and one-on-one duels with special game mechanics.
by techPowerUp!
Overall, the card is almost inaudible in idle and quiet while gaming, but there just is no improvement over the already quiet reference cooler.
by techPowerUp!
Especially the gaming-noise levels are impressive-much better than any other custom design GTX 770 we've reviewed so far.

Gaming

Metro: Last Light is the sequel to Metr0 2033, published by the Ukrainian game studio 4A Games.
by techPowerUp!
The gaming experience is a mix of arcade and simulation, and comes with stunning graphics and flashbacks to get you back on the road quickly.
by techPowerUp!
It is nearly inaudible in idle and reasonable quiet during gaming.

GPU boss needs to update the evaluation, since the 970 is not a 4GB card !
This thing is simply Amazing for the price. Even coming at a 20% discount on Amazon right now for the OC version http://amzn.to/1taVL5O Best deal for a SLI setup.
Hey guys! If you are intresting check out this build using GTX 770 ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0OZkWH1nmE&list=PLrhDBwvPaHV8X4UPLeDZSbPayyFvQTTkt&index=1
Those both newegg links are for GTX 770 with 4GB GGDR5.
