I ended up buying a Radeon R9 280x with Mac boot screen mod. It worked well and gave great resolution and colors on gaming, BUT it was so noisy I had to remove it and send it back for a refund. I was so used to the quiet low powered GPU ( Radeon HD 4870) . People who have a Mac Pro should realize these high powered units have to have big fans.
Looking to see if its what I need for my Mac Pro 2009 5,1 unit.
Lucky bastards lol
