The fast and the Fury(ous): 4K

There is a lot of interesting information in the review and AMD's cards certainly show their mettle but the overall winner is not perfectly clear, [H] chose Fury the R9 Fury with a caveat about Crossfire support.
Dying Light proved to be a game that liked VRAM with the 390X taking top spot though sadly neither AMD card could handle Crossfire in Far Cry 4.
In terms of performance, the Tegra K1 is faster than its competitors featuring all the great technology support of Kepler GPUs such as OpenGL ES 3.1, AEP, OpenGL 4.4, DirectX 12 API, Tessellation, CUDA 6.0 and a power consumption of less than 2W which is mind blowing.
While the announcement takes place on 22nd July, the Tegra K1 powered Shield tablet won’t hit the market until 29th July in the US/Canada market followed by Europe launch in August 14th and availability will be expanded to more regions in Fall 2014.

A higher res display would mean higher power consumption and worse battery life.

The G-Sync module will solve any and all problems related to incorrect frame production, including tearing, v-sync problems, input lag etc etc..
In that case, getting the most capable display should be the logical next step, and that is where Acer and Nvidia come in.
