Nah apparently the bandwidth is 512GB/s and the memory is clocked at 1150MHz. The gpu is much slower than initially though, but the new Hawaii XT is much more powerful than Tahiti.
nah he's wrong. AMD just announced the r9-290X as 4gb and >7000 3dmark firestrike score. it's the 280X that's 3gb.
The Asus Ares 2 is technically the best non-reference 7990. Still the most powerful in the world after 9 months.
It should only have 3GB of GDDR5. Hopefully sapphire will make a 6GB one again.
Strongest GPU ... not only AMD ;D it's much more better then all NVIDIA Cards
The comparisons are made against the 7970 and 7990. The 7990 is basically 2 7970s. Also the 7990 is the strongest AMD desktop card out now.
Gotta Love how they use numbers mostly from a 7790 to compare to. that is like comparing a top of line gpu from 3-4 years ago to top of line now.
GDDR6 would make 1,500MHz/12,000MHz Effective 576GB/s
