In The News From around the web

Roy Taylor has emphatically stated that the FX line of AMD CPUs has been very successful & tremendously popular & that AMD will continue to be dedicated to the high-end CPU market & not just APUs, saying.
This must be music to every enthusiast’s ears, a strong AMD back in the fistfight (figuratively) with Intel means faster cheaper CPUs for everybody.

Some NVIDIA R337.50 Driver Controversy

by Scott Michaud |
www.pcper.com
Now that it is out, multiple sources are claiming the vendor-supplied benchmarks are exaggerated or simply untrue.
Ironically, the launch of the Radeon R9 295 X2 video card might have lessened that number of benchmarks available for NVIDIA's driver, who knows?
There would be two products positioning in the AMD Radeon R-200 lineup, the R9-200 series would make use of the Hawaii, Tahiti, Pitcairn GPU while the R7-200 series would feature the Cape Verde and Bonaire GPUs which are entry level models.
This would mean more cheaper Tahiti’s and Pitcairn’s could be on the road from AMD while the main flagship Hawaii would remain as the only new part competing against NVIDIA’s GK110 core.
The 760M and 765M both use 768 CUDA cores, but the 765M is clocked almost 200MHz faster.
The RAM and core are connected via a 256-bit interface.
