[H] tested an FX 8370 at 2GHz and 4.3GHz to see what effect this had on the games, the 3GHz tests did not add any value and were dropped in favour of these two turbo frequencies.
One thing that has been on our minds about the new DX12 API is its ability to distribute workloads better on the CPU side.

3DMark API Overhead Feature Test - Early DX12 Performance

At a high level, here is how the test works: starting with a small number of draw calls per frame, the test increases the number of calls in steps every 20 frames until the frame rate drops below 30 FPS.
First, a DirectX 11 pass is done in a single-threaded method where all draw calls are made from a single thread.
Sniper Elite 3 scales very well on both AMD and NVIDIA hardware with two GPUs, as you can see in the graphics above.
Both NVIDIA and AMD have great performance with maximum in-game image quality settings in Sniper Elite 3.

AMD Catalyst 14.6 Release Candidate 2 Drivers Posted

As a further refinement of the 14.6 driver set, RC2 is primarily focusing on Crossfire compatibility and performance, according to AMD’s notes.
Meanwhile this driver also serves as the launch driver for the just released Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, containing a number of baseline performance optimizations for the game in Direct3D mode.
