Intel Will Not Bring eDRAM to Socketed Skylake

It seems to have been demonstrated that, in some situations, and ones relevant to gamers at that, that this boost in eDRAM can help computation - without even considering the compute potential of a better secondary GPU.
Since the original claim was that Broadwell-C is better than Skylake-K for gaming, giving a 25% boost to GPU performance (or removing a 20% loss, depending on how you look at it) could tilt Skylake back above Broadwell.
With the Rogue USCs implementing a modern shader pipeline, there’s no innate weakness to the design that requires correction.
It should be noted that these numbers do not hold power consumption equal – higher utilization means transistors doing more work and burning energy more often – so real-world performance gains in power/heat limited scenarios would not be as great.
Do note that these CPUs was running them on a 2S platform so we are looking at 36 cores and 72 threads in total for the multi-core benchmark.
Being the high-end chips of the Xeon E5 V3 line, the Xeon E5-2699 V3 was clocked in at 2.30 GHz at stock and features a boost clock of just 2.8 GHz.
ylake is that it will feature support for DDR4 Ram and will be based on the 100 Chipset ‘Sunrise Point’ of the ‘Sunrise Bay’ platfor.
Since the S Variant supports multiple memory types, motherboard manufacturers will have to work a little harder and come up with different models with different memory types.
