Since this is a targeted motherboard for SLI, it will be optimized for dual-GPU operation.
Performance remains to be seen but with boards such as the X99S XPOWER AC, I believe that MSI will be the first and foremost choice of enthusiasts.
The X99 Killer series from ASRock is more of a gaming oriented lineup with features such as Killer LAN and LAG Free USB / PS2 ports.
To start off, the ASRock X99M Killer features the LGA 2011-3 socket supporting Intel’s upcoming line of Haswell-E high-end desktop processors which will be available to consumers along with the X99 chipset based motherboards on 29th August 2014.
The board features a gold yellow and black color scheme that uses four sets of heatsinks, three near the LGA 2011-3 socket for PWM, VRM cooling and a larger PCH heatsink which cools off the X99 chipset.
A USB 2.0 connector can also be found on the top right corner of the motherboard which is pretty useful during installation and overclocking since users can’t reach the I/O panel.
Slow rotations and pans didn’t cause any of the typical “crawling” effect on the screen, and targeting on enemies, even at low frame rates, was easy to do.
Any movement that was tracking on the screen would suddenly appear to stop – and then would quickly “jump” to the next location faster than your mind thought it should.
