NVIDIA did hint that the pixel shader design was somehow more efficient than what was used in Tegra 3.
by Anand-Lal-Shimpi (Jan, 2013)
The core speed is increased to 672 MHz, well up from the 520 MHz in Tegra 3 (8 pixel and 4 vertex shaders).

PCIe 4.0 Will Still Deliver 75W of Slot Power

by Scott Michaud |
www.pcper.com
The main advantage of the standard will be extra bandwidth, about double that of PCIe 3.0, not easing cable management or making it easier to design a graphics card (by making it harder to design a motherboard).
The slot will still only provide 75W of power; any other power will still need to come from external connectors.

This is a good range to be in for a G-Sync monitor, as the single-card machine doesn't need to deal with multi-GPU issues, like pacing and driver support.
The lowest quality version was almost completely devoid of shadowing and its windows would not even draw.
